The city of Palembang in November2016 experienced inflation of 0.57 percent while the City of Lubuk Linggau experienced an increase of 0.46 percent

Abstract

The cumulative inflation rate in 2016 was 2.99 percent. While the inflation rate "year on year" (November 2016 to November 2015) was 4.14 percent. Palembang City in November 2016 based on expenditure groups, showed that 5 (five) groups experienced an increase in price index, namely the foodstuffs group of (2.15 percent); processed foods, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco group of 0.66 percent; health group of 0.11 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group of 0.06 percent; and the education, recreation and sports group by 0.04 percent. Whereas 2 (two) expenditure groups experienced a decrease in price index, namely the transportation, communication & financial services group (-0.19 percent); and clothing group by (-0.10 percent).

* Commodities that experienced price increases that caused inflation in Palembang include: red chillies, shallots, filter clove cigarettes, vegetable tomatoes, and long beans. While commodities that experienced price declines included: purebred chicken meat, air transportation, broiler chicken eggs, cooking oil and wet shrimp.

The cumulative inflation rate in 2016 to November was 2.63 percent and the year on year inflation rate (November 2016 to November 2015) was 4.07 percent.

Commodities that experienced price increases that caused inflation in Lubuk Linggau City in November 2016 included red chillies, shallots, soup, soap, cayenne pepper and maintenance / service. While commodities that experienced price declines included purebred chicken, potatoes, sugar, cooking oil and vegetable tomatoes.
