Happy National Poetry Day, April 28, 2025! BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics) of Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency commemorates this day as a reminder of the power of words and information. In line with BerAKHLAK (Service-Oriented, Accountable, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, Collaborative), we believe that data, like poetry, possesses a profound beauty and meaning that needs to be understood and interpreted accurately.
Data literacy is key to understanding the "poetry" hidden within numbers. BPS plays an important role in improving data literacy in the community. For example, BPS data shows that the Community Literacy Development Index in Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency reached 36.88 in 2024. This information is crucial for designing effective literacy improvement programs.
We at BPS OKU Timur Regency are committed to presenting data that is easily accessible and understandable, so that the public can "read" and benefit from statistical information. Our vision as an independent, trusted institution that actively supports data-based policy formulation also includes efforts to increase the understanding and use of data across various levels of society, in line with the spirit of National Poetry Day to love literacy. Together, we realize an Advanced Indonesia towards Golden Indonesia 2045 with a data-literate and intelligent society.
Let's celebrate Poetry Day by continuing to improve literacy, including data literacy!
