Abstract

  • HDI growth in 2024 has accelerated from the previous year. All dimensions forming HDI have increased, especially decent living standards.
  • Life expectancy for babies born in 2024 is 74.26 years, an increase of 0.22 years compared to those born in the previous year.
  • In the knowledge dimension, the expected length of schooling for the population aged 7 years increased by 0.01 years compared to the previous year, from 12.63 years to 12.64 years. Meanwhile, the average length of schooling for people aged 25 years and over also increased by 0.07 years, from 8.50 years to 8.57 years in 2024.
  • The dimension of decent living standards as measured by the average real per capita expenditure (adjusted) in 2024 increased by 543 thousand rupiah or 4.73 percent compared to the previous year
