Air Transport
• The total number of commercial air transport passenger departures (embarkations) from South Sumatra in January 2021 totaled 41,255 people, a decrease of 32.08 percent compared to December 2020 with 60,743 people.
• The total number of arrivals (debarkation) of commercial air transport passengers from South Sumatra in January 2021 totaled 40,534 people, or decreased by 36.90 percent compared to December 2020 which amounted to 64,236 people.
• In January 2021 there will be no arrival and departure of passengers on international commercial flights to South Sumatra via Sultan Mahmud Badarudin (SMB) II Airport.
Sea Transportation
• The number of ship visits to Boom Baru Port and Sungai Lumpur Harbor in January 2021 was 468 ship visits, consisting of 421 ship visits from within the country and 47 ship visits from abroad. Ship visits in January decreased by 28.00 percent compared to December 2020, which amounted to 650 visits.
• The total number of goods loaded at Boom Baru Port and Sungai Lumpur Port in January 2021 was 314,369 tons, down 62.61 percent compared to December 2020 which was 840,811 tons. With the number of goods for domestic purposes of 240,009 tons, a decrease of 67.15 percent compared to December 2020 with 730,603 tons. And foreign destination goods amounted to 74,360 tons, or a decrease of 32.53 percent compared to December 2020 which amounted to 110,208 tons.
• The total number of goods unloaded at Boom Baru Port and Sungai Lumpur Port in January 2021 was 137,214 tons, down 42.08 percent compared to December 2020, which was 236,906 tons. With the number of goods for domestic purposes of 88,403 tons, a decrease of 33.13 percent compared to December 2020 with 132,197 tons. And goods for foreign destinations were 48,811 tons, or down 53.38 percent compared to December 2020 which amounted to 104,709 tons.
Land Transportation
• The number of train passengers departing in January 2021 was 11,926 people, a decrease of 20.54 percent compared to December 2020 which was 15,008 people
