Abstract

  • The Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) of South Sumatra Province in April 2020 was recorded at 91.21 or decreased by 3.10 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The decline in FTT was influenced by the Farmers Received Price Index (It) which experienced an average decline of 3.22 percent, while the average Farmer Paid Index (Ib) only decreased by 0.13 percent.
  • The April 2020 decline in FTT was influenced by the decline in FTT in all subsectors, each of which fell: the food crops subsector by 1.91 percent, horticulture 0.74 percent, estates 3.69 percent, livestock 1.99 percent, fisheries 1.75 percent , capture fisheries 1.73 percent and aquaculture fisheries by 1.78 percent.
  • In April 2020, in South Sumatra there was a rural deflation of 0.16 percent due to the decline in the average index price in the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.33 percent and household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance 0.19 percent. While there are some other groups that have increased but are relatively small, and there are other groups that have not changed.
  • In April 2020 there was a decrease in NTUP of 3.21 percent. This happened because the average It decreased by 3.22 percent, while the average price of the BPPBM index did not change. The decline in NTUP was caused by the decline in NTUP in all subsectors, each with 1.89 percent of food crops, 0.96 percent of horticulture, 3.84 percent of plantations, 2.29 percent of livestock, fisheries in general 1.96 percent, capture fisheries 1, 84 percent and aquaculture 2.14 percent.
