Abstract

·         The economy of South Sumatera Province, measured by the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in the first semester of 2017 reached Rp 187.17 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reached Rp 137.66 trillion.

·         The economy of South Sumatra Province in the first semester of 2017 grew 5.19 percent (c-to-c) from the same period in 2016 by 5.01 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by Transportation and Warehousing of 9.32 percent.

·         The economy of South Sumatra Province in the second quarter of 2017 grew 5.24 percent (y-on-y) in Q2 / 2016 from the same period in 2016 by 5.08 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by Transportation and Warehousing of 9.86 percent. In terms of expenditures by Foreign Export Components grew by 71.11 percent.

·         South Sumatera Province economy in quarter II-2017 against the previous quarter rose to 3.68 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, this growth is caused by Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries which grew 8.04 percent. While in terms of expenditure is more caused by the Government Consumption Consumption component which grew 19.44 percent.
