Abstract

þ The value of ITK in South Sumatra Province in the second quarter of 2015 was 101.97, meaning that the economic condition of consumers improved from the previous quarter. This level of consumer optimism is higher than in the first quarter of 2015 (ITK value of 99.97).

þ Improvement in consumer economic conditions was driven by rising household incomes, the low influence of inflation on consumption levels and the increase in consumption of food and non-food commodities.

þ Economic conditions in the third quarter of 2015 are estimated at 114.41, meaning that the economic conditions of consumers are expected to improve. The level of consumer optimism is expected to be higher than in the second quarter of 2015.

þ Improvement in consumer economic conditions in the third quarter of 2015 is expected due to an increase in consumer income and plans to purchase durable goods, recreation and parties / celebration.
