[Strategic Audience of BPS OKU Timur Regency with the Regent of OKUT: Data Synergy for Sustainable]

Today, Thursday, May 22, 2025, the Head of BPS OKU Timur Regency, Mr. Ir. H. Budiriyanto M.A.P., along with the BPS OKU Timur Regency team, fulfilled an important invitation from the OKU Timur Regency Government for an audience regarding the implementation of the Village Development/Potential Survey (Podes) and the Intercensal Population Survey (SUPAS) for 2025. This strategic audience was held in the Audience Room of the OKU Timur Regent's Office.

This audience event was directly led by the Regent of OKU Timur and attended by a number of other important officials, namely Assistant II, Head of Bappeda and Research and Development, Head of PMD Office, Head of Diskominfo, Head of Social Affairs Office, Head of Disdukcapil, Head of Disperindag, and Head of the Economic Section. The presence of various related agencies demonstrates a joint commitment to supporting the smooth and successful execution of these important surveys.

The purpose of this audience is to socialize and coordinate the preparation and implementation of Podes and SUPAS 2025 throughout the OKU Timur Regency area. Podes and SUPAS are two fundamental surveys that play a crucial role in providing accurate and comprehensive basic data for regional development planning.

The success of Podes and SUPAS 2025 highly depends on the synergy and support from various parties, especially the regional government down to the village/sub-district level. The data generated by BPS from these surveys will serve as the primary foundation for evidence-based policy formulation, ensuring that every development program and intervention is truly based on real conditions on the ground. Without accurate data from BPS, it is difficult for the government to measure development achievements, identify problems, and design effective solutions. Therefore, the role of BPS as the "eyes" and "ears" of the government in observing the socio-economic conditions of the community becomes extremely important.
