[Spirit of Reform: BPS OKU Timur Drives Transparency and Accountability!]

BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics) of Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency views this day as a significant moment in the nation's history towards better, more transparent, and accountable governance. In line with BerAKHLAK (Service-Oriented, Accountable, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, Collaborative), we believe that accurate and easily accessible data is a crucial pillar in realizing the ideals of reform.

Reform has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including the demand for transparency and accountability. BPS data plays a central role in providing the information needed to oversee government and development processes. For example, BPS regularly publishes the Anti-Corruption Behavior Index (IPAK). IPAK measures the level of public permissiveness towards anti-corruption behavior, which includes opinions on community habits and experiences with public services concerning bribery, graft/gratuity, extortion, nepotism, and nine anti-corruption values. The IPAK score ranges from 0 to 5. The closer to 5, the better, meaning the community behaves more anti-corruptively. In 2024, the IPAK score was 3.85, a decrease compared to 2023 (3.92). This information is important for the public and the government in efforts to eradicate corruption and improve service quality.
