Today, Friday (10/01), the OKU Timur District BPS carried out the Destruction of Data Collection Archives for Census and Surveys. The destruction of these archives was carried out by the Head of the OKU Timur District BPS, Ir. H. Budiriyanto, M.A.P., along with the OKU Timur District BPS Archive Appraisal Team at the OKU Timur District BPS office yard.
The implementation of the destruction of census and survey data collection archives of the OKU Timur District BPS is based on the approval of the Head of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI). The archives that were destroyed were questionnaires used for BPS data collection, both for the 2011 to 2020 censuses and surveys. These questionnaires have exceeded their retention period and no longer have any value in accordance with the Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics Regulation Number 1 of 2019 concerning the Retention Schedule for BPS Archives, so they need to be destroyed.
The destruction of census and survey data collection archives of the OKU Timur District BPS is an important step in office management, especially in archiving. This is in addition to the fact that all questionnaire entries have been entered into the entry program and the results have been released as scheduled, especially considering the limited storage space, so it is inefficient to continue storing these questionnaires.
